Split shows pure Markdown on the left and the live preview on the right. Write is the rich editor. On narrow screens, the preview appears below the source.

Drag the bottom handle to change the height, or the Split divider to adjust widths. Editor size has width and height sliders and a reset button. Your layout is remembered in this browser.

Type /toggle then Space for a collapsible block. Edit its title, press Enter, and write inside. Click the arrow to collapse it. Use ↳ to write after it, or ⇤ to unwrap it without deleting its contents.

Edit and copy LaTeX directly in the body, without a separate dialog. Preview shows the rendered equations. Ctrl/Cmd+Enter continues after an equation. Copying body text keeps its Markdown and LaTeX.

Ctrl/Cmd+Z undoes edits; Ctrl/Cmd+S saves the draft.

Use Footnote to add a note, or click a superscript number to edit it. Notes are numbered automatically. Markdown: Text[^note] and, on a separate line, [^note]: Explanation.

LaTeX delimiters \( … \) and \[ … \] work too. Use Equation for fractions, sums, matrices, and aligned equations.
